Begin the Work
Reaching out for therapy or supervision can feel like crossing a threshold in itself. Here is how to start.
A Brief Introductory Call
Every working relationship here begins with a short introductory call.
It usually lasts around fifteen minutes and takes place by phone or video. There is no pressure and no fee. It is simply a chance to make initial contact, talk briefly about what is bringing you here, and see whether this feels like the right space to begin.
If it feels like a good fit, we can arrange a first session. If not, I am always happy to suggest another clinician or supervisor who may be better suited.
Or Send a Short Message
If you would prefer to write before talking, you can send a short email about what is bringing you here. I will come back to you within two working days.

Practical Details
Sessions are fifty minutes long and usually weekly or fortnightly. More spaced-out arrangements are sometimes possible; these are booked through a separate booking link.
All therapy and supervision takes place online, by video. For clients based in Dublin, walk-and-talk psychotherapy is also offered in Phoenix Park on request.
I work with clients and supervisees across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the continental United States. Sessions are scheduled in Irish time (GMT/IST), and I can usually accommodate a range of time zones.
What Happens After You Get in Touch
1. The intro call. A short conversation to make initial contact and see whether this feels right.
2. A first session. If we agree to begin, I will send you a short intake form, and we will schedule a first full session at a regular weekly or biweekly time.
3. Ongoing work. Therapy here is open-ended. Some people come for a few months around a particular question or transition. Others stay longer as deeper material surfaces. There is no fixed length and no expectation about how the work should unfold. Some clients wish to book an ad hoc or single session; this can be accommodated. This is done through a booking link sent after the initial intake call.
Cancellation and Fees Policy
Sessions cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice can be rescheduled where possible. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, are charged at the full session fee. This is standard practice and reflects the fact that the time has been held for you.
